Gunman Claimed Allegiance to ISIS before Florida Shooting: Media

The gunman who killed 50 people in a massacre at a Florida gay nightclub early Sunday, made a 911 phone call shortly before the shooting pledging allegiance to the Islamic State (Daesh / ISIS / ISIL / IS) group, US media reported.

CNN and NBC cited law enforcement sources as saying the shooter, in a call to emergency services in Orlando just before the attack on the Pulse nightclub, pledged allegiance to the Islamic extremist group, AFP reported.
