In separate floods due to the rains, at least sixteen people were killed in flooding in Omran and Hajja, northwest of the capital Sanaa, according to the Interior Ministry.
Yemen receives rain throughout the winter months, with flash floods sometimes killing dozens of people and causing serious damage, AP reported.
