The Syrian army troops backed by the army air force have repelled the ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra attacks in Daraa and Deir Ezzor provinces, killing many of them and destroying their hideouts and vehicles in intensified operations.
Daraa
An army unit foiled a Jabhat al-Nusra attack on a military post in al-Manshiyeh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa city.
The source explained that the army unit clashed with a Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group that infiltrated the surroundings of the military post, located in the southern part of al-Manshiyeh neighborhood.
The source pointed out that all the group’s members were killed and their weapons were destroyed during the clashes.
Deir Ezzor
The army’s air force targeted gatherings and dens for ISIS terrorists in al-Mrei’iyeh village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province.
The airstrikes resulted in the death of a number of ISIS terrorists and the destruction of their positions and vehicles, some of them equipped with machineguns, SANA reported.
