Terrorists of the al-Nusra Front on Sunday admitted that one of their top military commanders has been killed during the Syrian army operations in the Southernmost parts of Hama province.
The terrorist group acknowledged on its social media that their top commander Abu Mustafa al-Hamawi was killed during the recent clashes that erupted between the Syrian Army and the Al-Nusra Front near Tal-Dara village South of Hama province, close to Homs province.
On Sunday, the ISIS terrorist group sustained a growing number of losses in the Syrian army's ground and air assaults on the militant-controlled city of Palmyra (Tadmur) in Homs province on Sunday, battlefield reports said.
"Syrian and Russian fighter jets carried out several joint combat flights over the concentration centers of the militant groups across the city of Palmyra, Eastern Homs province, inflicting losses and damage on terrorist in the ancient city that is still under the grip of ISIS terrorists," the source said.
Some reports confirmed the death of at least 18 militants in the airstrikes.
In a separate development in the Eastern part of Homs Province, pro-government forces pushed their way further into militant-held areas and came closer to the city of Palmyra, imposing heavy casualties in fierce clashes with militants in the region, military sources said on Tuesday.
The military sources said pro-government forces took two more hills overlooking Palmyra's Western suburbs, managing to advance 3 kilometers more in areas West of the city; FNA reported.
