The RAF is using 3D goggles to help them blitz ISIS targets in Syria, it has been reported.

Cameras mounted on Tornado jets capture high-res images of ISIS buildings and weaponry on the ground, which are then beamed back to a secret base in Akrotiri, Cyprus.

Air force experts are then able to use the goggles to map out exactly which targets are to be bombed.

A Lieutenant from the RAF's Tactical Imagery Intelligence Wing told The Sun on Sunday: “This gives us the edge. If they’re above ground we’ll find them.”

He said the British analysts are highly-regarded among the coalition taking the fight to ISIS in Syria.
