Salman is expected to discuss its regime’s relentless military campaign against Yemen, Syrian crisis and the successful conclusion of nuclear talks between Iran and world powers in his first visit to the United States after taking the helm of power in January.
"His visit underscores the importance of the strategic partnership between the United States and Saudi Arabia," White House Spokesman Josh Earnest said on Thursday.
The last time the two met was January 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
