Talking exclusively with IRNA, Salehi reiterated that China has played a constructive role in the process of nuclear negotiations between Iran and P5+1.
'Iran and China enjoy a 'special relationship' Salehi said, underlying that 'Iran and China relationship have entered a new phase following the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) reached between Iran and the P5+1.
Touching upon the 100-megawatt small multi-dimensional power plants, Salehi stressed that so far Iran and China have held several negotiations on construction of these power plants.
He added his visit is aimed at finalizing the negotiations on construction of the small multi-dimensional power plants.
'One of the main features of these power plants is generating electricity, industrial steam and water desalination,' he added.
Salehi arrived in Beijing on Wednesday morning for an official three-day visit. He is expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with his Chinese counterpart.
Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) is scheduled to meet also with the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Thursday evening.
Salehi will meet China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA) Chairman Xu Dazhe on Wednesday evening.
Head of AEOI will visit the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) and some other Chinese institutions active in field of peaceful nuclear programs.
