Based on a report by AFP on Tuesday, Fabius said all preparations are in place for the Iran visit.
He said he will travel to Tehran next week.
Fabius is scheduled to meet with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif and President Hassan Rouhani.
The visit is to start July 29.
Talking to a French radio program, Fabius has said that he is visiting the country as “a political figure”, adding that no delegation from French companies is to accompany him.
The trip of the French foreign minister to Iran is taking place only days after the historic nuclear deal between Iran and the G5+1.
