"The nuclear agreement with Iran is a model for resolving other crises and this agreement proved that the European Union can play an important role," the Italian-language La Stampa newspaper quoted Mogherini as saying on Sunday.
She described the nuclear agreement with Iran as an important investment for restoration of peace and tranquility in the region.
On Saturday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Mamnoon Hussain underlined that the final agreement between Tehran and the six world powers (the US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany) will be beneficial to the regional and neighboring countries.
"The Iran-Group 5+1 understanding will benefit the neighbors and the region; it will consolidate the economic relations," President Rouhani said.
He noted that the final agreement between Iran and the G5+1 also showed that no matter how complicated and difficult the problems in the relations among the countries are, they can be resolved through negotiations if there is a good will.
Iran and the six world powers struck a deal in Vienna on Tuesday.
