The source said that the Syrian troops, in the first phase of their operations, have liberated the towns of Msakiya al-Sahrqiya, Msakiya al-Qarbiya, Rasm al-Khawabi, Ashnan and al-Dallathia in the Northeastern countryside of the province.
The source further added that the two towns of Maliha al-Atash and Basar al-Harir in Dara'a countryside are also under the siege of the Syrian army men, and will be set free in the next few hours.
"The Syrian army also repelled insurgents' attacks against al-Ba'ath city in the province, killing and wounding scores of antigovernment fighters," the source added.
Over 3.8 million Syrians have left their country since the beginning of the crisis. According to reports, more than seven million Syrians have become internally displaced.
