Jordan has agreed to exchange an Iraqi woman, Sajida al-Rishawi, on death row for a Jordanian military pilot, Lt. Moaz al-Kaseasbeh, who was captured by the ISIS.
The video appears to depict Japanese hostage Kenji Goto, saying that if al-Rishawi "is not ready for exchange for my life at the Turkish border by Thursday sunset," then al-Kaseasbeh "will be killed immediately."
The video refers to sunset in Mosul, Iraq, which is about mid-morning Eastern time.
Al-Rishawi is an al-Qaida operative who was sentenced to death for her involvement in an attack in Jordan that killed 60 people in 2005. She is to be traded for al-Kasasbeh who was shot down and captured in Syria late last year.
"Jordan is ready to release prisoner Sajida al-Rishawi if the Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh was released and his life spared," Jordanian government spokesman Mohammad al-Momani said.
There was no mention by al-Momani of Goto.
A video released Tuesday by the ISIS warned that Goto and al-Kasasbeh will be executed if Jordan failed to exchange al-Rishawi.
"I only have 24 hours to live... Please don't leave us to die," Goto aid in Tuesday's video. "The ball is now in the Jordanians' court."
