Airliner crashes in Tehran, at least 40 killed

More than 40 people have been killed after a civilian airliner crashed on take-off near Tehran's Mehrabad airport.

The Taban Airlines plane was headed to the eastern city of Tabas on Sunday, the IRNA and Fars news agencies said, and crashed at 9.18 am (0448 GMT).
