Army units targeted militants’ gatherings in Khan al-Shih farms and Kherbet al-Abbasiyeh, killing big numbers of them, injuring others and destroying vehicles with all the militants inside on Khan-al-Shih-Zakia road in Damascus Countryside (Rif dimashq).
In Aleppo, army units killed many militants in Bab al-Hadid, Qadi Askar, Ain al-Tal, al-Lairamoun, Tal Refaat, al-Myassar and the Old City and destroyed their weapons and ammunition, a military source said.
It added that army units destroyed a number of militants’ vehicles, some of which equipped with heavy machineguns, in Khan al-Asal, Andan, al-Bab, Deir Hafer, Hanano, al-Hader, Orom al-Soghra and Babis.
Militants’ infiltration attempts from al-Ghariyeh al-Gharbiyeh and to Nawa in Daraa Province were foiled, where many militants were killed or injured in the military operations.
An army unit also eliminated a number of militants after targeting their gatherings in Enkhil town, to the north of al-Nua’ima town, near the western al-Khazan behind Salmin-Zimrin crossroads and on the road leading to eastern al-Mleiha as two cars equipped with heavy machineguns were destroyed, in addition to other cars.
A number of militants’ cars were demolished on the road of Jasim-Enkhil and in Khirbat al-Mulayha to the north-east of Um al-Awsaj in the countryside, and a number of the militants were killed and wounded.
Gatherings of militants were also targeted in Busr al-Harir roundabout and to the north-west of Tal Khudir as a number of them were killed.
In Homs countryside, the army units targeted militants’ gatherings in the areas of Aqrab, Masada, Ounq al- Hawa, Rahhoum, Abu Jwadiet and Oum Sahreej, killing scores of them and destroying a vehicle equipped with a rocket launcher.
A military source told SANA that the army inflicted heavy losses upon militants in Aqerbat, Izz Eddin, Durrat Bazak, Oum Sharshouh and Qadi Faykha. Dozens of militants were killed and their weaponry were destroyed.
In Idlib, the army units targeted militants’ vehicles convoy in Tal Salmo, other units destroyed militants’ gatherings in Kwrein, Kifr Najd and al-Rami, scores of militants were killed and their vehicles and equipment were destroyed.
Syria sank into war in March 2011, when pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following the intervention of Western and regional states.
According to reports more than 170,000 people have been killed and millions displaced in the turmoil.
