In Thursday and Friday operations, government troops attack insurgent groups in north and west of Handarat and north of al-Castello, east of Haritan and al-Atareb in Aleppo countryside, inflicting heavy losses on the armed groups and destroying several of their vehicles, Syrian state news agency SANA reported citing military sources.

Another army unit targeted insurgent groups in Ba'edin, Tal Shaer, al-Mislmiyeh, Tal Qarrah, al-Shakif, Kafer Saghir, Bustan al-Basha, Kafer Anton, al-Halak, al-Lairamoun, Daret Ezza, Mayer and in Qadi Askar in Aleppo and its outskirts.

In Daraa, meanwhile, army soldiers attacked an insurgent staging area in the vicinity of Atman town and in al-Kassar area surrounding Zamren town, leaving scores of the armed militants dead and wounded.

Also in the outlying suburbs of Idleb, a Syrian army unit targeted hiding centers of the so-called 'Sukour al-Sham brigades' in M'rzaf and demolished them, killing or wounding most of the insurgents in the area, including a number of non-Syrian elements.

Government forces also destroyed three enemy vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns. 

Syrian troops further targeted insurgent gathering points on Harim-Idleb road and in an area west of Idleb, killing and injuring a large number the armed militants, in addition to destroying a vehicle filled with weaponry and ammunition.

According to a military source, cited in the SANA report, other army units stormed more insurgent staging areas in Kfar Jals, Khan Shekhon, Taftanaz, Ein Sheeb, Ma'ret al-Nouman, al-Najieh,al-Tebat, al-Shugher and in the area surrounding al-Arba'een mountain in Idleb countryside, inflicting heavy losses on the armed elements and destroying their military hardware.

In Homs countryside, army units killed and injured scores of insurgent forces in another operation, destroying three of their vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns in Om Sharshuh village.

Meanwhile, a military source added that an army unit seized a large amount of armaments, including sniper rifles, machineguns, RPG launchers, an Israeli made machinegun and ammunition, while conducting purging operations in neighborhoods of the old city in Homs.

Also in Lattakia, an army unit eliminated another armed insurgent group while they were attempting to infiltrate into Point 724 in the northern countryside and destroyed and destroyed all their weaponry.
