The deadly incident occurred at 6:30 am local time (03:00 GMT) on Wednesday, said deputy provincial governor Rajabali Sheikhzadeh, Press TV reported.
The victims were members of the IRGC’s engineering division working on construction projects in the border area, the official added.
On November 6, Zabol Prosecutor Mousa Noori and his driver were attacked and killed by two unidentified terrorists on their way to work in the province.
The attack came less than two weeks after 17 Iranian border guards lost their lives and six more were wounded in an ambush terrorist attack in Saravan region which borders Pakistan.
The Jaish-ul-Adl terrorist group, which claimed responsibility for the shooting, had infiltrated into Iran from Pakistan and fled back into Pakistani territory following the October 25 attack.
In February, Iran and Pakistan signed a security agreement under which both countries are required to cooperate in preventing and combating organized crime, fighting terrorism and countering activities which pose a threat to the national security of either nation.
