The UAE foreign ministry said in a Saturday statement that Emiratis should leave Egypt for "their own safety and due to instability of the political situation there."

It also warned emirate’s citizens not to travel to Egypt at this time if unnecessary, urging them to avoid public areas and protest areas.

The warning came ahead of June 30 protests in Egypt.

On Sunday, Egyptians are set to stage mass anti-government protests on the anniversary of President Mohamed Morsi’s turbulent first year in office as his opponents have expressed their determination to oust Egypt’s new “Pharaoh.”

Morsi’s opponents, who have been massing outside the presidential palace and in Cairo's Tahrir Square, accuse the leader of betraying the country’s 2011 revolution by concentrating power in the ruling party’s hands.
