Casualties occurred when renewed clashes broke out on Monday between supporters and opponents of the Syrian government, AFP reported.
"One person was killed in Bab el-Tabbaneh and 21 others were injured on both sides," the agency quoted a source as saying.
The fighting followed a brief lull in the violence between the two sides, after a latest flare-up that left 31 people dead and more than 200 hurt.
Clashes in Tripoli, which have sporadically erupted since the beginning of the Syrian unrest in 2011, have largely been confined to the two neighborhoods of Jabal Mohsen and Bab el-Tabbaneh.
