(MNA) -- The presence of German car giant Volkswagen in Iran is a sign of the expansion and strengthening of transactions between Germany and Iran and would help to improve the quality and safety of existing cars in the Islamic Republic.
Mammut Khodro is responsible for the sale and after-sales service of Volkswagen sedans in Iran. The company will sta work in Iran next month with two bestseller models of Volkswagen and is set to sell other German products in order to cater for a wide range of customers' tastes.
"By returning to Iran, the Volkswagen brand is filling in another blank spot on the global automotive map," said Anders Sundt Jensen, project manager for the Iranian market at Volkswagen, adding the presence of VW in Iran would help us improve international ties more than ever.
VW first started selling cars in Iran in the 1950s but pulled out of the market in 2000 due to the levelling of international sanctions against the Islamic republic.
