More Militants Surrender to Syrian Army in Aleppo

A number of militants that had called for evacuation from Aleppo's Eastern neighborhoods decided not to go to Idlib and turned themselves in to the Syrian Army troops to stay in government-controlled regions, a military source disclosed minutes ago.

The source said that while over 3,400 militants have thus far surrendered to the army men in Aleppo, a number of militants and their families rejected relocation to militant-held regions in Idlib province and surrendered to the government officials at al-Ramouseh passageway; FNA reported.

The source further added that government officials studied requests of the militants and their families at al-Ramouseh and granted them amnesty, transferring them to a center in Jibrin in Aleppo city.

The Russian General Staff announced that over 3,400 terrorists have surrendered themselves to the Syrian authorities since the beginning of the military operations in the city of Aleppo.

"A total number of 3,406 militants of the so-called moderate opposition groups have surrendered during the liberation of Eastern Aleppo, and over 3,000 of them have been pardoned," Chief of the Russian General Staff Main Operational Directorate Sergei Rudskoy said.

General Rudskoy added that some 108,000 civilians who had not been allowed by militants to leave Eastern Aleppo, are currently in shelters, while only the Syrian government and Russia are providing them with humanitarian aid.

Reports said earlier today that approximately 750 injured and patient civilians of the towns of Fua'a and Kafraya have thus far reached the Southern countryside of Aleppo city in return for the evacuation of militants and their families from the city after a two-day suspension due to the violation of the evacuation agreement by terrorists.

Four more buses carrying nearly 260 civilians left Fua'a and Kafraya minutes ago after 10 buses took out 500 injured and patient people from the towns in the morning.

Based on the latest reports, the entire 14 buses along with vehicles of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) have reached al-Ramouseh passageway. In the meantime medical officials and the SARC in Jebrin center East of Aleppo city are ready to admit the the injured and patients of Fua'a and Kafraya.

Reports added that the rest of militants in the Eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo have left the city.

Reports further added that approximately 2,500 civilians of Idlib will leave Fua'a and Kafraya in two 1,250 groups in return for evacuation of trapped militants in Aleppo's Eastern neighborhoods.

In the next stage, 1,500 injured and patient civilians of Fua'a and Kafraya will leave the towns in return for the evacuation of 1,500 militants in Madaya and Zabadani in Damascus province.
