The Iraqi volunteer forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) continued their advances to the West of Mosul, and completed their siege of the terrorists in the city of Tal Afar.

The Iraqi volunteer forces are preparing for the final phase of military operations to win back Tal Afar city as they have cut off all the supply lines to the ISIS terrorists in the western part of Nineveh province.

The Tal Afar city is located between the city of Mosul and Syria and terrorists use Tal Afar to flee to Raqqa in Syria.

The capture of Tal Afar will be very important for paving the way for victory in Nineveh province.

Commander of the Iraqi Counterterrorism's Golden Brigade Major General Ma'an al-Sa'adi announced that his forces have destroyed tens of bomb-laden vehicles of the ISIL terrorists East of the city of Mosul, and have inched closer to the city center.

"The counterterrorism forces have managed to destroy 200 suicide vehicles of the ISIL in the Eastern flank of Mosul," Major General al-Sa'adi told FNA on Wednesday.

He said that the Iraqi forces have made considerable advances in the districts of Mosul, adding, "We are only few kilometers away from Mosul city center."

Iraqi forces killed an ISIL top member responsible for propaganda and information in Iraq's Nineveh province, the country's defense ministry said Wednesday.

The local ISIL "information minister," who was responsible for publishing materials relating to ISIL activities, editing videos and creating websites, was killed in a strike against terrorist positions in Mosul, the ministry said, RIA Novosti reported.

The Iraq's defense ministry did not provide further information about the ISIL member, including his identity and how the high-ranking militant has been killed.

The ISIL terrorist group executed 15 soldiers from the Iraqi Army in the city of Mosul, in Iraq’s northwestern Nineveh Province.

Informed local sources said that the soldiers were taken as prisoners by ISIL during clashes with the Iraqi Army in southwestern Mosul last week, ARA News reported.

ISIL militants publicly beheaded the 15 Iraqi soldiers in Central Mosul, and paraded their bodies across the city’s streets.

A senior Moroccan ISIL commander was gunned down by unknown assailants West of the city of Mosul, local security sources disclosed on Wednesday.

"Unknown armed men killed ISIL's commander while he was driving in his car in the town of Ba'aj West of Mosul city," the Arabic-language media outlets quoted an unnamed security source as saying on Wednesday.

The source noted that the slain ISIL commander had Moroccan nationality and was responsible for the execution of a large number of Izadi women and females in Mosul.
