The Iraqi government has sent half a dozen trucks of food to be distributed among the residents of Mosul.
The trucks distributed the aid, sent by Iraqi government, in some of the recently liberated areas of eastern Mosul; AP reported.
More than a million people are still thought to be in the city despite the ongoing fighting between Iraqi government forces and Islamic State (ISIL / ISIS / IS / Daesh) militants.Iraq launched an operation on 17 October to retake Iraq's second largest city and the extremist group's last major bastion in the country.
