VIDEO: Peshmerga Forces Clash with ISIS in Abbassiya South of Mosul

Kurdish Peshmerga soldiers continued their assault against Islamic State forces south of Mosul on Wednesday (October 19) on the third day of an offensive involving Iraqi forces and a US led coalition.

A large explosion could be seen from Abbassiya village south of Mosul as Kurdish Peshmerga soldiers and vehicles manoeuvred nearby.

The Iraqi government launched the campaign to drive the terror group from its last stronghold in Iraq.

The head of Iraq's special forces said on Wednesday (October 19) that  5,000 to 6,000 Islamic State (ISIS , ISIL, IS and Daesh) terrorist are in the city.
