Local sources in Nineveh province have disclosed that the ISIL has conducted a house-to-house search in the city of Mosul for several hours to confiscate people's radios as the terrorist group announced that it will execute anyone listening to Iraq's state radio.

"In its latest decree, the ISIL has ordered execution of all those Iraqi citizens who listen to the news on government radio channels," a local source said.

The ISIL's move came after Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi asked people to help the country's security forces in the Mosul liberation operations.

Earlier this week, local sources said that the ISIL has confiscated television sets and cell phones to prevent the public from hearing the news of the recent advances by Iraq's joint military forces in the province.

"The ISIL is taking strange and confused decisions as the Iraqi army and volunteer forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) are making remarkable advances in Mosul city," an informed local source said.

The source, meantime, said that the ISIL has also ordered closure of the photography studios in Mosul city for the time being.

Also, the ISIL blocked the roads leading to Wadi al-Hajr district in the Southern part of Mosul city and set up military outposts after the M resistance movement (an opponent group of the ISIL) increased its activities in the region.

The ISIL's intensified security measures came after the letter M appeared on all walls of al-Hajr district.

M stands for the Arabic word 'Moqavamah' or 'Resistance' in English.

The ISIL terrorists are very much fearful of people's uprising in areas under their control in Mosul city.

In late August, the ISIL executed several civilians in a new brutal method after charging them with spying for the government in Mosul city.

"Six civilians were put between two trucks with their hands tied up to them; then the trucks moved in opposite directions as ISIL terrorists poured oil on the six and lit them up," the Arabic-language media quoted a local source as saying.

The Mosul citizens were burned and maimed before the eyes of other people in a square near Hamam al-Alil square in Mosul city.
