Russian fighter jets, in a number of airstrikes, pounded terrorists' strongholds in Handarat Camp, destroying several positions and killing scores of the militants.

"The Russian airstrikes have paved the way for the Syrian Army troops and Liwa al-Quds fighters to intensify ground attacks on Jeish al-Fatah centers," a field commander said, adding, "Syrian forces will launch the final phase of Handarat liberation operation as hundreds of fresh soldiers have arrived in Aleppo to join their comrades to free the camp."

A large number of soldiers have deployed in the Northern outskirts of Aleppo city to join the Syrian Army's operation to recapture the Handarat Palestinian Refugees Camp from Jeish al-Fatah.

"A large group of Syrian soldiers arrived in Northern Aleppo on Sunday night to help the Syrian army troops and the Palestinian Liwa al-Quds take back the Handarat Camp from the terrorists," military sources said.

"Fresh forces have been deployed to Shaher district," the battlefield sources said, adding that "The Army is preparing to launch the final phase of the operation to recapture the Handarat Camp".

The Syrian army and Liwa al-Quds forces took the camp last week but had to withdraw after two days.
Syrian Army commanders pulled their forces back from Handarat Palestinian Refugees Camp in Northern countryside of Aleppo city on Sunday morning to evade more casualties.

"Syrian Army soldiers and their Palestinian allies from Liwa al-Quds, who had captured Handarat camp on Saturday morning, repelled several large-scale attacks of Jeish al-Fatah terrorists on Saturday night, but on Sunday morning army commanders ordered forces to retreat from the battlefield temporarily," army sources said.
