"After six hours of non-stop battle, the Syrian army soldiers pushed back the terrorists from the region, inflicting major losses on them," the sources said.
"In the meantime, army soldiers clashed with ISIS terrorists in al-Sina'ah and Huweija al-Sakar, inflicting several casualties on the terrorists," they added.
"Over 30 ISIS terrorists were killed in the Syrian Armed Forces' attacks on Saturday, including several foreign combatants from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Malaysia, Libya, and Iraq," the source went on to say.
Military sources announced on Sunday that the Syrian Army has gathered a large number of fresh forces to launch massive operations against the ISIL across the Eastern province of Deir Ezzor in coming days.
"The Syrian army is getting ready for a large-scale operation in Deir Ezzor," a high-ranking military source said, adding, "On Saturday, over 600 fresh forces were dispatched to Deir Ezzor, and tomorrow 1,000 more soldiers will be sent to the battlefield in al-Thardah mountain."
"The fresh forces are equipped with modern weapons systems and equipment," the source added.
