Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fended off ISIL’s (Daesh / ISIS) offensives on their strongholds in Southern Hasaka, leaving at least 38 terrorists dead and many more wounded.
ISIL's attacks on SDF positions South of the village of al-Azavi in al-Shadadi region were repelled by the SDF fighters.
After two days of clashes, SDF fighters pushed ISIL back from the villages of Kishish and Zeinat in al-Shadadi region.
Two bomb-laden suicide vehicles of ISIL were also destroyed in the clashes.
The SDF fighter later staged a raid on ISIL militants in the region and established full control over al-Fadghami, a town with a pre-war population of 5,000 residents.
The ISIL also withdrew from the villages of al-Badi al-Sharqi and Shadid while clashes are ongoing near Sa'ad and al-Ara, two villages further South of the Khabur River where ISIL seems to have set up a new defensive line.
The SDF consists mostly of Kurdish fighters as well as a number of Arab militant contingents, FNA reported.
