The evil “chief propagandist” of sick terror group ISIS has been wiped off the face of the earth by a US drone strike, the Pentagon has confirmed.
Abu Mohamed al-Adnani was a major cog in the group’s machine of death and destruction and acted as the chief spokesman for ISIS.
But the depraved terrorist was annihilated in a Predator drone strike on northern Syria on August 30 – but it has just been revealed.
A Pentagon spokesman said: “The strike near Al Bab, Syria, removes from the battlefield ISIS’s chief propagandist, recruiter and architect of external terrorist operations.
“It is one in a series of successful strikes against ISIS leaders, including those responsible for finances and military planning, that make it harder for the group to operate.”
Al-Adnani is believed to have played a key role in several horrific Daesh terror attacks.
He is linked to strikes on Paris in November, at the Brussels and Istanbul airports, at a cafe in Bangladesh, the downing of a Russian airliner in the Sinai Peninsular and suicide bombings at a rally in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
The Pentagon said the dead terrorist coordinated the movement of terrorists as well as the recruitment of brainwashed youngsters.
It is also claimed he encouraged “lone wolf” terror attacks such as those seen in Nice on Bastille day – where 86 people were killed, Express reported.
