According to Turkey-backed rebel droup Faylaq Al-Sham’s official media wing, their forces captured the village of Tal Katlijah after the Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL, IS and Daesh) terrorists quickly abandoned the area in order to reinforce Jarabulus.
Reportedly Daesh has mostly abandoned the small area between Jarabulus and the Turkish border, leaving only small units to resist the advancing Turkish-backed rebels.
The Turkish-backed rebels are now attacking the hilltop Tal Shaer village, which is along the road to Jarabulus, Al Masdar reports.
Video footage shows Turkish tanks have crossed into Syria. Turkeys' private NTV says as many as 20 tanks had crossed into Syria. It said clashes were taking place at the border.
Meanwhile a Syrian activist group monitoring the war in Syria reports that Syrian rebels who were amassed at the Turkish border have crossed into Syria aim at capuring Jarablus (Jerablus) border town from ISIS.
