Extremists of the ISIS executed Friday a young man in Syria’s eastern Deir ez Zor province on charges of spying for the Kurdish forces, local sources reported.
The terrorist group arrested and executed Abdulrahim al-Harith, a Syrian citizen from Hasakah, after accusing him of cooperating with and spying for Kurdish forces of the People’s Protection Units (YPG)–that have expelled ISIS from major areas in northern Syria.
“Al Harith, 27, was arrested in al-Mayadeen city in Deir ez-Zor province. The ISIS-inked Sharia Court claimed that al-Harith was involved in leaking security information about the group’s military movements to the Kurdish YPG forces,” local media activist Dahham Abdulaziz said.
“He was beheaded in a public square in central al-Mayadeen on Friday evening,” the source reported, adding that hundreds of civilians were “obliged to witness the brutal execution;” ABNA reported.
