A field source said on Thursday that severe clashes are still underway between the Syrian army and Jeish al-Fatah in the region.
The Syrian army's counter attack from the military academy in al-Hamdani region also killed and wounded tens of militants, the source said.
He added that the army, supported by the Syrian and Russian warplanes, continues its advance towards al-Ameriya and Tal al-Mahrouqat villages in Southwestern Aleppo which are controlled by Jeish al-Fatah terrorists.
Also, the resistance forces conducted operations in the Southwestern parts of Aleppo city and retook Huwaiz village from the terrorists.
Latest reports from the region said that over 270 terrorists were killed in the past 48 hours.
In a relevant development on Wednesday, Jeish al-Fatah's third phase of large-scale offensives to lift government forces' siege on militant-held districts of Aleppo city ended in nothing but inflicting more losses on militants, including losing four spy drones, nine tanks, six heavy artilleries and several PMP vehicles.

Syrian Army repelled Jeish al-Fatah' attacks in Southern and Western flanks of Aleppo city, and in a rapid counter-attack the army men captured al-Baragi factory, Zahra al-Hawz and surroundings of the village of al-Sharafeh.
The Syrian fighter jets, for their part, targeted terrorists' defense lines, destroying nine tanks near journalists' council near Khan al-Asal.
Nouraddeen al-Zinki terrorists also were defeated by the Army troops in Southern parts of Aleppo city.
The army also destroyed two operation rooms of terrorists in Southwestern side of Aleppo.
Also yesterday, the Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group confirmed that two commanders of its affiliated group of Jeish al-Iman were killed in clashes with the Syrian Army troops and their popular allies in Southwestern Aleppo.
Abu Othman al-Hamwi and Abu Sho'aib al-Hamwi were killed in tough battle with the Syrian government forces, FNA reported.
