A little girl rolled over after she was knocked down by a moving car while crossing a street by herself last Saturday (July 23) evening in Chuzhou City of east China’s Anhui Province, Al-Alam News Network reports.
According to footage captured by the car event recorder on the accident sedan, the girl suddenly ran out from between two vehicles parked along the road and was knocked down by the car, which was unable to stop within such a short period of time.
The girl fell down, rolled over on the ground and then stood up by herself, staggering to the roadside.
Her mother then arrived and picked up the girl to check her condition, according to the footage.
“I was driving at a low speed on the road at that time. Then suddenly a figure came out from between two vehicles. I ran into that figure since I was too close to it. I took a close look and found that it was a little girl, and then her mother came and picked her up,” said the involved driver surnamed Zhang.
According to the local traffic police, the girl, aged four, ran to the road alone during a momentary oversight of her parents.
She just suffered some slight scratches, according to the police, noting that her parents are mostly responsible for the accident since they had failed to take good care of the little girl.
