The Turkish military announced on Wednesday that 8,651 active soldiers participated in the July 15th coup to overthrow President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to CNN Turk, the 8,651 soldiers that participated in the July 15th coup represent 1.5% of the Turkish Armed Forces.

In addition to the 8,651 soldiers, the Turkish military reported that 7% of their jets and 8% of their helicopters were used during the Turkey failed coup.

Earlier today, CNN Turk reported that two Turkish diplomats were arrested for allegedly taking part in this military coup, as the wide-scale crackdown by Erdogan regime continues.

Yesterday Turkish FM said two ambassadors removed from duty following coup attempt.

Also Former Governor of Istanbul Hüseyin Avni Mutlu detained, he was in office during Gezi protests.

State-run Anadolu Agency reported that two Turkish generals based in Afghanistan detained in Dubai after attempted coup.

Meanwhile many accused of coup plotters who were at large in Turkey's resort Marmaris caught during operation live on TV.
