South Korean and US Marines on Wednesday held a joint combat training in Pohang, a main port city in the southeastern region of South Korea.
Approximately 800 South Korean marines and 500 US marines based in Okinawa, Japan took part in the exercise at a fire training field, according to the South Korean military.
They initially planned to hold joint air and ground combat training but cancelled air combat training due to bad weather.
The training is part of Korea Marine Exercise Program (KMEP) which runs from June 27 to July 14.
