Commander-in-chief of the Military Council in the town of Manbij in Northeastern Aleppo Abu Majd made the announcement, adding that his forces have also broken the ISIS (Daesh / ISIL) defense lines after starting their operations which is considered as a highly important step.
He added that the corpses of 560 ISIS terrorists out of the 1,000 militants killed in the region are also in the hands of his forces.
Abu Majd also said that a large number of weapons and ammunition were seized from the ISIS members who were killed or fled the battlefield.
He said that the only obstacle on the way of his forces to further advance is the ISIS's use of civilians as human shields.
In a relevant development on Wednesday, the SDFs' liberation operations in three key villages near the town of Manbij in Northeastern Aleppo inflicted major losses on the ISIS terrorist group, battlefield sources said.
"At least 38 members of the ISIS were killed after the Takfiri group was forced to pull back its forces from the villages of al-Hamdouniyeh and Qanat al-Qarreh under the heavy attacks of the SDF fighters," the sources said.
"The SDF fighters' offensive on the positions of the ISIS in Hod Hod village and seizure of the villages and its surroundings claimed the lives of at least 17 terrorists," the sources added.
"The SDF fighters also seized a large volume of ISIS's arms, ammunition and military equipment, including five missiles, two explosive belts, dozens of automatic rifles and tens of grenades," they went on to say.
Reports said yesterday that the SDF, mainly comprising of Kurdish fighters, stormed the ISIS positions in the Eastern and Southern sides of Manbij and won back the villages of Hod Hod, al-Hamdouniyeh and Qanat al-Qarreh, which also ended in the killing or injuring of tens of the militants.
In the meantime, the ISIS suffered a heavy death toll in clashes with the SDF fighters in the villages of Owseh Jeli al-Saqir and Owseh Jeli al-Kabir, FNA reported.
