Idlib, in northern Syria close to the Turkish border, is controlled by opposition groups including the Free Syrian Army, Islamic Front and the Nusra Front.
During Friday prayer today, a car bomb exploded in a vehicle parked outside the Al-Shaeb Mosque; this religious site is located in the western fringe of Idlib city.
According to preliminary reports, at least 5 people have been killed with more than 30 injured. No one has claimed responsibility for the bombing yet.
