The Kurdish “People’s Protection Units” (YPG) stormed the strongholds of the terrorist groups in a key neighborhood of the Northern city of Aleppo and seized their depot of ammunition and weapons.
The YPG fighters struck the Takfiri terrorists’ gatherings at Bani Zeid's Housing Complex near Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, which ended in the killing or wounding of several terrorist and seizure of a large depot of ammunition and military equipment.
The YPG Kurds have recently bonded with the Damascus government. The Syrian army sent several arms cargoes to the YPG troops in the Northeastern province of Hasaka and trained the first group of Kurdish volunteer forces in the provincial capital city of Hasaka last month.
Reports said on Friday that the Syrian army, tipped off by intelligence agents, stopped the terrorist group's truck carrying a large volume of arms and ammunition in the Southeastern part of Aleppo province and seized its cargo.
The Syrian soldiers stopped a large truck along the Khanasser-Aleppo Highway and discovered over 26,000 rounds of ammunition and 32 mortar shells along with several other explosives.
The source added that the driver was a member of a local terrorist group operating in the Northern Aleppo province, FNA reported.
