A new batch of humanitarian aid offered by Russia was distributed to locals in Modamiyet al-Qalamoun in Damascus Countryside on Saturday in cooperation with the Ministry of State for National Reconciliations Affairs.
Director of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Damascus Yuri Zrayev said in a statement that the humanitarian aid distributed to locals in Modamiyet al-Qalamoun on Saturday is part of the aid provided by Russia to the Syrian people, adding that Russia is working to provide all forms of possible humanitarian aid in areas that have signed up to the cessation of hostilities agreement.
Zrayev pointed out that locals in Modamiyet al-Qalamoun support local reconciliations after defeating terrorism in evidence that the Syrian people, when coming together, bring peace throughout the country, noting that Russia confirms that dialogue and local reconciliations are the only solution to all problems in Syria.
For his part, Yaser Saadallah, representative of the Ministry of State for National Reconciliations Affairs said that the Syrian government continues delivering humanitarian aid to all towns and providing all services to all areas with the help of Russian friends, noting that locals in Modamiyet al-Qalamoun stand by the Syrian Arab Army in war against terrorism.
A Russian aid plane arrived in Damascus International Airport on Saturday morning loaded with humanitarian aid offered by Russia to the Syrians which includes various relief items which will be distributed to a number of orphanages in Damascus in addition to hundreds of citizens from Modamiyet al-Qalamoun town, Saana reported.
