VIDEO: British Tourist Stabbed during Mugging in San Francisco Dies

A British tourist who was stabbed a month ago during a mugging in San Francisco has succumbed to his wounds.

Surveillance video released by San Francisco Police on Friday (March 25) showed a 48-year-old British tourist being assaulted and stabbed after falling to the ground during a night time robbery last month.

The assailant is still at large and police have made a public appeal to identify him.

Tam worked as a web content and digital marketing manager at Manchester University for 10 years

Local news reports that the victim, Paul Tam, was pronounced dead on Thursday (March 24) after succumbing to his wounds.

According to police, Tam attempted to hold on to his bag when he got stabbed in the head by the male suspect.

Tam was with his niece who lives in southern California when the attack took place. The niece was unharmed, local news says, Reuters reported.
