In Hama an army unit, in cooperation with popular defense groups, thwarted an infiltration attempt by the "Islamic State in Iraq and Syria" (ISIS/ISIL) terrorists into al-Mabou’ja village in the eastern countryside of Hama province.
A military source told SANA Tuesday that the army unit clashed with groups of ISIS terrorists who attempted to attack at dawn the innocent civilians of al-Mabou’ja village, in the eastern countryside of Salamiyeh city.

The source added that the army killed a number of ISIS terrorists and destroyed their vehicles, while the rest fled away into al-Badia, leaving their weapons and ammunition behind.
Last March, ISIS terrorists perpetrated a massacre against the innocent civilians of the village, claiming the lives of more than 50 ones, mostly women and children in addition to kidnapping a number of others.
In Quneitra an army unit, in cooperation with popular defense groups, eliminated a gathering of Jabhat al-Nusra members in Quneitra countryside.
A military source said that an army unit directed concentrated strikes against a gathering of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in the area surrounding the main square in the outskirts of Quneitra city, destroying an armored vehicle and killing a number of terrorists.
Syrian Army Kills Scores of Terrorists in Different Areas
In Daraa a Syrian Army unit and forces assisting it engaged in heavy clashes with terrorists from “al-Muthana Islamic Movement” who attacked military checkpoints in al-Sheikh Miskin city in Daraa, according to sources in the ground.
The sources said that army thwarted the attack, destroying 2 machinegun-equipped vehicles and killing 14 terrorists, including one of the leaders of al-Muthana Islamic Movement known as Abu Bakr al-Mohajr, in addition to Mohsin al-Salakhzat from Jordan, Saiel al-Ware’a, Mufid Abu Nabout, and Qassim Mohamed al-Salah.
Terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the killing of many of their members, including Zaid Moafak Abazid, Mohanad Ahmad Khattab, Ahmad Radi Abu al-Sil, Bashar Mohamed Shihada al-Natour, Mohamed Ryad Abad Rabo, and Ahmad Mohamed Qassim al-Bardan.
In Deir Ezzor Syrian Army units operating in Deir Ezzor Military Airport clashed during the last 24 hours with members of ISIS terrorist organization in the areas near Jabal al-Tharda and Tal Krom to the east of the airport.
Sources in the ground told SANA that the clashes resulted in destroying a number of ISIS terrorists’ gatherings and vehicles, killing many ISIS members, including one of their leaders who was called Abdo Jazra.
The sources added that army units advanced in those areas after destroying several of the terrorist organization’s fortified positions; Sana reported.
