Photograph published in terror group’s monthly English-language magazine Dabiq shows a Schweppes drinks can and two wired items that could be detonators or fuses.

A British passenger jet may have been the initial target in the Sharm-el-Sheikh terror attack, it is feared as ISIS taunted Russia with an apparent image of the bomb that brought down one of its planes.

The terror group published a photograph on Wednesday claiming to be the improvised device that was smuggled on board MetroJet Flight 9268 last month, killing all 224 people on board.

The image showed a fizzy drink can, which would have been packed with explosives, a detonator and a possible trigger switch.

It was revealed in the latest edition of Isil’s online propaganda magazine, Dabiq, alongside apparent photographs of passports and ID cards belonging to dead passengers.

Isil's Dabiq magazine shows passports which it claims belonged to "dead crusaders" who were on board Metrojet's flight from Sharm El-Sheikh which crashed in the sinai.
