The Mexican plunged nearly ten feet to the ground after losing his balance as he performed a dangerous routine on a wheel known as the Pendulum of Death.
Spectators feared the worst when he failed to get up from the ground as a fellow performer and security stuff rushed to his aide.
But he survived - and was said to be “doing well” in hospital where he was being treated for just bruising.
The drama happened as the Jumbo Circus puts on its second show of the day at the Movistar Arena in the Chilean capital Santiago.
The show - called Suenos La Magia Del Circo which in English translates as The Magic of Circus Dreams - continued even as the injured performer was attended to at the scene before being taken to hospital.
