China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman has announced on Friday the imminent visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to Beijing soon.
During his press conference in Beijing on Friday, Hong Lei announced that Zarif's visit to China is in line with expanding cooperation and improving bilateral relations between the two countries.
Hong Lei reiterated that Mr. Zarif will meet with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on September 15.
This is the first visit of Iranian FM to China after the nuclear agreement reached between Iran and the 5+1 countries on July 14. Zarif will also meet with a number of other senior officials of China, MNA reported.
