The sources disclosed that massive attacks of the Fateh Halab rebel group, led by Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and Harakat Nour Al-Deen Al-Zinki, were confronted by the Syrian army men, who killed approximately 70 militants in the fighting.
Initially, the rebels captured Bashkoy’s Western entrance and the Poulty Farms; however, later, the National Defense Forces – in coordination with the Al-Ba’ath Battalions – conducted their own counter-assault to recapture the Poultry Farms located at the Southern flank of this town – this attack proved successful.
With the Poultry Farms under their control, the Syrian Armed Forces worked vigorously to recapture the Western entrance of Bashkoy from the rebels; this proved success, as the battle would continue for 24 straight hours before the militant contingents were unable to muster up another powerful assault that could rival their previous attack on Tuesday.
Finally, after suffering a significant amount of casualties and the destruction of their heavy weaponry, the insurgents withdrew from Bashkoy to the nearby town of Rityan.
According to a military source in the Aleppo Governorate, Fateh Halab suffered heavy casualties over the last 48 hours: the estimate range from 50-70 enemy combatants killed and a number of armored vehicles destroyed, including a T-55 tank.
