Search giant reveals how massive network that delivers every search request, YouTube video view and Gmail works.

Council Bluffs, Iowa: Inside our campus network room, routers and switches allow our data centers to talk to each other, Google says. ic networks connecting our sites can run at speeds that are more than 200,000 times faster than a typical home Internet connection. The fiber cables run along the yellow cable trays near the ceiling

Google data centre in Douglas County, Georgia: Google is opening a virtual window into the secretive data centers that serve as its nerve centre, revealing how it developed the hardware in them itself

In a highly technical paper, the firm outlined how its Jupiter network runs at such high speeds using network switches it developed itself.
