Three firefighters were killed and several others injured, at least one critically, as raging wildfires advanced on towns in north-central Washington State on.
Hundreds of people have been evacuated from their homes. Officials said it appeared the three died after their vehicle crashed, and flames overcame them.
Drought and heat have combined to make this fire season of the most active in the United States in recent years which burning Washington State and near-by.
