Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov hosts his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif to discuss the deal on Tehran's nuclear programme and the conflict in Syria.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif departed for Moscow on Monday morning.
While in Moscow, Zarif is slated to hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on the ways to broaden mutual relations, expand regional and international cooperation as well as the problems of terrorism and narcotics trafficking, IRNA reports.
Zarif has recently traveled to Lebanon, Syria, India and Pakistan on the second round of his regional tour following the nuclear agreement clinched between Iran and P5+1 countries.
Representatives and nuclear experts from Iran and the P5+1 group of world powers-the United States, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany-succeeded in finalizing the text of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in the Austrian capital, Vienna, on July 14 after 18 days of intense negotiations and all-nighters that capped around 23 months of talks between Iran and the six countries.
