Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali-Akbar Salehi and the US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz are holding intensive talks here Thursday (as of 09:30 A.M. local time) on removal of disagreements on technical attachments, Al-Alam News Network reports.
Earlier, Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, Iranian deputy foreign ministers, resumed talks with European Union deputy foreign policy chief Helga Schmid.
Iran's envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ali-Asghar Najafi, too, is present in today's talks.
The two sides' foreign ministers are to resume negotiations later in the day (from 2:30 local time.)
The negotiating sides missed an initial deadline of June 30 and all parties are agreed on a new, July 7 deadline.
However, in the wake of the outstanding issues in the talks, the EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said on Tuesday that the negotiations would continue for 'a couple' of more days.
