The interior ministry said a large explosion hit the mosque in Kudeih in the Shiite-majority Qatif region during the main weekly prayers.

An activist said at least four worshippers were killed and others wounded.

More csualties feared as the blast reported huge and mosque was populated.   

Al-Qatif is a governorate in Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and populated by Shiites.
