A building belonging to a local governor in Karak, the hometown of murdered Jordanian pilot, Lieutenant Muath al-Kaseasbeh, was burnt down by locals on Tuesday.
The attack followed the news that a video released online purportedly showed al-Kaseasbeh, captured by the ISIS group in Syria, being burned to death. The Jordanian military has confirmed his death.
Jordan is a key ally in the US-led military coalition against the ISIS group, but the airstrikes against fellow Muslims are not popular in Jordan, AP reports.
Al-Kaseasbeh is the only pilot from the coalition to have been captured to date.
