An al-Qaeda-linked group on Sunday claimed to have killed a number of Shiite Houthi forces in Yemen's central Radaa city.
There has been no comment from the Houthi group, ANADOLU AGENCY reports.
The Houthis or Ansarullah from September engaged fighting with local al-Qaeda terrorist and expand their influence beyond capital Sanaa, which they took over in late September.
The Houthis growing influence in the country has pitted it against Al-Qaeda which is active in politically fractious Yemen.
Al-Qaeda's branch in Yemen, Al -Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), has claimed responsibility for last week's deadly attack on French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo's Paris headquarters, saying it had come on the orders of top Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri.
